The base itself is a classic, stepped Art Deco style design, with clean lines and no adoration, making the piece a good fit for even the most classic of homes.  Unsigned, made in England.  The piece is in excellent original condition, with all recipe pages in tact. The patent number for the piece is stamped on the back.
