Caviar20 was invited by Charles Pachter to select drawings from his archives.

We reviewed never-seen-before works on paper spanning several decades.

In the 1980's Pachter completed a considerable amount of drawings - many of these creations were independent of the collections or motifs he is renowned for. Today these drawings are paradigms of his creative genius and his ability to convey complex images with a stylish simplicity.

The works on paper from this period document his friends in casual and lighthearted scenarios.

They are interesting contrasts to his famous portraits (commissioned by City and Country Home Magazine) done during 1988-1991
